In Britain in the early 1800s there were 19 Crimes that could get you imprisoned and banished to Australia. The 19 Crimes wine brand was centered around these crimes and a group of prisoners that were banished by them.
Strategy
The task was to take this obscure wine brand and get it into the hands of millennials who weren't even drinking wine. These were beer and whiskey drinkers who had no idea what things like terroir meant and they couldn't care less. The solution. Deliver the extremely unusual story of the 19 Crimes brand in a way that made it as much a part of the telling as the tale of the crime itself. Our goal was to create a level of engagement so compelling that once our millennial audience picked up a bottle they simply couldn’t put it back down.
